An Evening with Danny. Almost 20K Raised!

March 11th, 2011 by Conor

On Friday, March 4th we were reminded of how amazing the people of the valley are. 200 people gathered at the Red Jacket in support of Danny Toumarkine on his road to recovery. The evening was filled with silent and live auctions as well as dinner and live entertainment. The Dinner was prepared by the Red Jacket, music was performed by Ryan St Onge and Heather Pierson, as well as Sauce- The music was sponsored by Remax Presidential. Dutch Bloemen Winkel created all of the “Dannyesque” décor for the event and George Cleveland hosted a fantastic live auction. We are very thankful for these amazing sponsors of the event that made it possible.

I had a wonderful time celebrating with everyone Danny being back in the Valley. The video was very extremely touching & greatly appreciated. As one who read the posts daily the first portion of the video being blanked out with just the sounds of the machinery brought back memories instantly of one of Connor’s blogs commenting on the sound.
I just want to give a shut out to Meg McLare who I understood was also one of the event organizers as I know 1st hand how much time & effort she put in to this fundraiser – thank you Megz!
I’m so very happy for Danny & his family & am grateful the blessings on your family continue to flow.
